Pastoral Care
Home & Hospital Visiting
There is an active group of parishioners who with the clergy meet regularly to plan pastoral care visits and to encourage each other in this vital work. If you wish to arrange a visit at home, in an aged facility or hospital please contact us by phone or email.
Home Communion
There are times in our lives when attendance at Sunday or weekday worship is difficult for health or reasons of disability. In our parish, the Parish Priest or a number of pastoral visitors are accredited to administer the Blessed Sacrament (Holy Communion) when they visit you in your home. Please call the Parish Priest to arrange this.
Prayer Requests
If you wish to arrange prayers on behalf of someone, please speak to the Parish Priest, or fill out the prayer request form and place it in the offertory/collection plate in church. Courses on prayer and spirituality are planned in the parish periodically.
St Stephen’s is normally open for private prayer and reflection between 9.00am and 5.30pm.
Prayer Chain: For prayer by the Prayer Chain, please call Helen Chambers 02 6032 8650 or 0428 328 650 and confidentiality will be provided.
